GPU based PT disables BiDir so this might be a reason of your observations...

Against straight PT, I've done a set of renders, PT, PT GPU, PT Bidir, MLT, MLT Bidir... based on a scene used to compare different render engines.

Pixie, is this forum too small to contain your comparisons, or are you excluding it for other reasons?

We've sent out test builds to people in the GPU beta group using Windows for now; when we have the Mac and Linux builds ready the final release will be made.

Hi,
Because the GPU beta group is quite large, we're haven't sent out emails to everyone yet. We will send out emails to everyone relatively soon.

Errr... I wouldn't go around posting that kind of info, especially if you're on a private beta team. Even if you don't know the version number, it's easy enough to find it by trial-and-error. Private beta questions should be resolved through email, not the public forum.

Are there plans for it to run on cards lower than 5xx series?
