Some materials cause artifacts in alpha rendering!
A quick workarround would be forcing clayrender mode (if availible in exporter) to do the alpha pass...
The other worarround is deleting all materials, starting Alpha rendering, and back in your 3D application you hit the magical STRG+Z combo.
I do it everytime that could be the reason I never spot it (the clayrender+alpha)

It happened with textured diffuse and phong materials.

Hey, thanks for that!
MLT really seems to be faster... wonderful!

Still small issues with the Indigo Mac GUI:
- still half-size fonts and buttons in light layers tab
- still half-size font in render log tab

Small issue in Material Editor:
- CMD+Q doesn't work to quit the program, not even over "Indigo" > "Quit Indigo"

I can't do further testings, because I'm going on a trip to Ireland with my girlfriend tomorrow.
Keep rockin, guys!

lycium wrote:* EXR saving now saves 32-bit per channel RGB images, instead of 16-bit per channel RGBA images.
* Fixed clipping of EXR values.
* Re-enabled save_untonemapped_exr
I finally tested this, and there are some issues:

1) saving from the GUI always saves a linear Tonemapped EXR, Camera Tonemapping & Reinhard settings in GUI get ignored!
2) The EXR autosave feature should also be integrated in the GUI > Options
3) The EXR version seems to have brighter highlights on reflective mats like chrome etc. Also Aliasing between strong contrast areas seems different!
(Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'll do a propper test setup for this someday later)

The only problem with this is that you can't make an alpha rendering of objects with alpha-mapped materials, such as leaves, where it is especially useful for compositing a sky in behind trees.

Yes, you are right.... Cindigos clayrender supports alpha mapped materials, emitters, bump & displacement so we are fine with this.
Anyway, its a bug inside Indigo, and also a workarround for Exporter writers to export only diffuse mats if alpha rendering chosen doesn't make any sense...
