MayaToIndigo_JAN-2010_2.zip

Zip file. Size: 115kb.
Available in an ASCII form, as it is usual for Maya scripts. This ensures a cross-platform installation, though functionalities were not tested yet under non-Windows operating systems. Usual precautions should apply when using a beta script, notably backing the scene up before initializing MtI (just in case the Mayas didn't get it quite right with their calendar). The package includes a small starting guide for your first steps with MtI. At the moment it looks like a plain text file, a standalone documentation for MtI will arise during the first quarter of 2010.

Installing and Getting started with MayatoIndigo

MtI current beta comes with a trivial, but hopefully efficient starting guide. After installation you will find a new shelf called "Indigo" available. Press the grayed-out icon in the far left of that shelf to start a MtI session. Note: Starting a MtI session will create a new scriptNode called mti_settings in your scene. This scriptNode beholds settings that will be saved with the scene and will therefore be conserved through successive Maya sessions, for that scene. Settings can also be saved as presets to be instantly applied to the current scene. The Maya Exporter Forum is a good place to get support on Maya and Indigo. More specifically, see the MtI January Beta support thread.
